Handmade Silver-Gilded Blue & White Lotus Gaiwan – 200ml Mutton Fat Jade Porcelain, Collector’s Box

This 200ml Gaiwan is a perfect combination of luxury and tradition, showcasing the timeless charm of Chinese ceramic craftsmanship. It is crafted in Dehua, known as the “Porcelain Capital,” from the shiny mutton fat jade porcelain. The gaiwan is decorated with elaborate underglaze blue lotus motifs that are intertwined with silver-gilded vines, symbolizing everlasting prosperity and purity. Inspired by the “endless knot” pattern, a classic from the Han Dynasty representing longevity and renewal, it is painted in cobalt blue and enhanced with 24K silver using traditional fire-gilding techniques.

The translucent porcelain body, fired at a high temperature of 1300°C, emits a gentle glow under the light, highlighting the intricate details of the hand-painted lotus flowers.
